The legendary Renault R5 is making a stunning comeback—though not in the form anyone expected. Renault has officially opened reservations for its R5 Turbo 3E, an all-electric powerhouse that shares little more than a name and a few stylistic nods with the classic R5. Beneath its retro-inspired shell lies a modern-day pocket supercar designed for collectors and thrill-seekers alike.
A Spec Sheet That Defies Expectations
The R5 Turbo 3E turns conventional thinking about electric city cars on its head. It’s equipped with two rear-mounted wheel motors that produce a combined output of 540 horsepower—more than a Porsche 911 GT3.
