The eight-area SWODA Ombudsman Volunteers encourage everyone to join them in the rewarding effort of advocacy for residents within long-term care homes.  A free training is planned at Cordell Community Center behind the Cordell City Hall for Tuesday and Wednesday, May 3 and 4, beginning at 9:30 each day.
The Ombudsman program of SWODA Area Agency on Aging is looking for caring individuals to visit long-term care facilities in southwest Oklahoma in order to make residents aware of their rights. Ombudsmen volunteers work to resolve problems of individual residents and bring about changes at the local, state and national level to improve care of residents in long-term care facilities.
