By Pat VerSteeg — In the Roger Mills County Courtroom Number 1, the back wall is lined with portraits of all the judges who have served, except for two. These faceless frames placed in the center conspicuously stood out from the others. Judy Tracy, noticing the omissions, got curious about the history of these two judges and set about making an inquiry. The blank frames only bear the names and the dates served: J.W. Miller, 1915-1916; J.M. Wileman, 1917-1921. After checking with some family members and doing some genealogical research Judy discovered the rest of the story.
