We were surprised last week by a visit from Kirk Holman, one of our exhibitors. His paintings are on loan to us. Kirk show up about once a year but we never know for sure when he is coming. He called in January saying he was moving from Port Bolivor, Texas to Oregon and he would be coming by to see us on one of his trips. We expected him any day. He never came and quite frankly when he didn’t show April 1st, we got a bit concerned. However, I knew he would come when he decided to take a break from camping in the wilderness. He is a real character and we always enjoy his visits. I will drop this in. When he left the ranch in Del Rio, Texas several years ago he went to Galveston, Texas and became a tug boat captain. He has been retired a couple of years but they still call him from time to time for special assignments.
