Monday, May 16 is the last day applications can be submitted for the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation’s popular Controlled Hunts program. For $5, sportsmen can put their name in the running for this special slate of unique-to-Oklahoma draw hunts for deer, elk, antelope and turkey. Some of the available hunts are once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. Others include hunts on Department or other government-owned or managed lands where unrestricted hunting would pose safety concerns or where overharvest might occur.
