It was asked, “Is it a sin to miss church services?” “Are you required to go every time the doors are open?” This question deals with the heart of a Christian and the priorities Christians establish in their life. Many preachers and evangelists that I have heard through the years will use Hebrews 10:25 as a verse to teach that missing the worship of the church is a sin. “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching” (Heb. 10:25). This verse clearly states, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together…” which has been taught to mean that it is a blatant sin to neglect the gathering of saints to worship the Lord.
