A few years ago some relatives of Miss Minnie Slief visited Cheyenne to see where their Aunt had lived. They were very surprised to find that her house had been preserved as well as several of her belongings. This week, one of the great nieces donated a large sum to assist in the preservation of the Slief House. We really appreciate Tom and Ellen Dougher, though living in California, wanting to help preserve an ancestor’s heritage Minnie Slief left her house to be used as Cheyenne’s first library. She contributed to many other worthy causes during her lifetime; and keeps giving to this day.
