Earl Dean Sears was born May 2, 1943 in Erick, Oklahoma to Nell and Alton Sears. He passed away March 4, 2017 at home with his wife of 54 years and his children and grandchildren by his side holding his hand as he left to be with his heavenly Father at the age of 73 years, 10 months and 2 days.Earl grew up at Lubbock, Texas until the 8th grade. He then moved to Sweetwater, Oklahoma to live with his grandparents. He met his wonderful wife, Lila Moseley, in the 8th grade. At the age of 19, they were married at Sweetwater, Oklahoma on May 19, 1962. The day they married they moved to Lubbock, Texas where they lived from 1962 to 1970. After settling down in Lubbock, they had their first daughter, Machille in 1964 and in 1967 they had their second daughter, Terri. In 1970 they moved back to Sweetwater, Oklahoma. Earl started his own welding company in the 1980’s. He later started working for Roger Mills County, where he worked for 23 years. In 1992, his wife and he started raising their granddaughter, Keisha. He then started working for Farmers Supply, driving a truck on weekends, while also working for the county. He enjoyed fishing with his friends and family. He and Lila loved square dancing and traveled to many states for Square Dance Conventions. For many years, he raised cattle and enjoyed checking on them and working on the farm. He also enjoyed spending time with Charles Baker, his best friend, who was the son he never had. He loved going to work every day for the County, it was his second home. Hisco-workers were all like family and he loved being with them. The end of his life was filled with good times with his family and friends by his side. Earl was a Christian and a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church, he loved Sunday School and served as the Sunday School Director and was a Trustee of the Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Terri Sears.

He is survived by his wife, Lila, of the home; 2 daughters, Machille Weatherford and husband, Don, Little Rock, AR; Keisha Walker, Elk City, OK; 2 grand daughters, Jennifer Griffin, and Ashley Cluck, 7 great grandchildren, Danaya, Anden, Azeley, Lakin, Landry, Korbin, and Rhett; a sister, Lanelda Jackson, Lawton, OK; a sister-in-law, Linda Depron, Sayre, OK; a brother-inlaw, Dale Moseley and wife, Mary, Sayre, OK, and a host of other relatives, and friends.

Services will be held March 8, 2107 at 10:30 am at Rose Chapel officiated by Kendell Hamilton. Burial will be at Lone Oak Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com
