The Durham Quilting Bees quilted Thursday on two quilts for Grace Chappell. One was a beautiful red, white, and black twister and a baby quilt of pinwheels made with polka dots. They were both for great grandchildren. The twister had an embroidered note in one corner that said “made by Granny Grace”. Enjoying the day were Grace Chappell, Janet Malson, Lucille Porter, Janna Montgomery, Pat Collins, Judi Walser, Sue Flowers, Barbara Hawkins, Donna Manhart and Karen Harman. We also have a new member, Radonna Smith, who joined us for the first time. Judi Walser’s husband, Melvin, had a growth removed. The doctors seem to think it will be fine, but waiting on lab reports.
