Sarah Haven & Mrs. Whitney Moore

By Pat VerSteeg — This past week Kiwanis/Senior Citizens honored the CHS September Student of the Month, Sarah Haven! On hand to introduce Sarah was CHS Principal, Whitney Moore. Moore took the opportunity to update everyone on CHS activities. The Academic Team won District and will compete at Regionals. The One-Act Cast placed at Regionals and will now compete at State. Two of the cast members were named All Regional Cast members: Jonathan Crismon, and Sarah Atha. Moore said that Red Ribbon Week is underway, and the Presidents Leadership Council (PLC) is helping with Trunk or Treat and engaged in the October Project, “Sock-tober”, collecting socks for the Veteran’s Center and the Roger Mills Hospital. Moore also encouraged all to go online at the school website and vote for the best Business Professionals of America (BPA) “Fresh Paint Days” project. Cheyenne BPA recently painted the Rook Theatre and is in the running for best statewide BPA project. (Moore said you may vote daily.) Ms. Moore introduced Sarah Haven as a very busy girl who excels in the classroom, the athletic field, and is a school leader. A highlight for Sarah was at the last softball game, said Moore, when Sarah ended the season with a home run!
