Cheyenne is excited to be hosting the celebration of the Land Run of April 19, 1892. On this date the “Boomers” lined up to make the run and stake their claim on this newly opened Cheyenne & Arapaho Land. The 2017 Celebration marks the 125th anniversary of the land run. This celebration is hosted every five years in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. It is a time of festivities, which include a parade, a PRCA rodeo, free barbeque, talent show, arts and crafts show, quilt show, gospel night (with singing and entertainment), style show, rodeo dance, old settlers dance, whiskers contest, and much more. The 2017 events are scheduled for April 17-22, 2017. Over the years, this celebration has entertained thousands of people.
