Levi Fowler

By Pam Barrymore & Steve Barrymore – In 1900, at the age of 7, our grandfather, Levi Fowler moved to Indian Territory (now known as Oklahoma) with his parents and 10 siblings. Their post office was listed as Dougherty. As our grandfather wrote, “at that time, there were lots of horse thieves. It was free range country…you let your cattle and hogs run outside and you fenced your crops in.”
