Judge Pat VerSteeg meets Miss Kay the chicken during the Pet Parade

Thirty-one pets and their pet owners turned out for the largest Pet Parade in years. The weather even cooperated with us this time. Tasked with judging the nice assortment of pets were Pat VerSteeg and Johnny Nance (filling in for a last minute judge spot). Each pet received an award. We had our first ever goats, chickens and hedgehogs this year.

Here is a listing of the pet, the owner and the award given:

Niela Mendiola showed Chico the black French Bulldog who won Best Thunder Fan.

Niela Mendiola also showed Roxy the English Bulldog who won Best Mascot Denise Parman brought Standard Dachshund LuLu who won The Boss Award because Lulu is queen of their castle.

Amy Ebersole brought Wonder Woman, a beautiful brown and white meat goat who won Best Companion.

Chase Ebersole brought Scrappy another beautiful brown and white meat goat who won Cutest Goat. Caylee Frederking brough Sugar, a Dachshund and Pekinese Mix who won Most Playful.

Benjamin Rivera, (grandson of Librarian Charlotte Nance) brought his Rainbow stuffed Monkey named John who won The Swingiest Monkey award because he likes to swing from the trees.
