By Pat VerSteeg — This past Tuesday, two of Cheyenne Public Schools finest were honored at the weekly Kiwanis/Senior Citizens’ luncheon.
Cheyenne Principal Whitney Moore brought the special guests and introduced each one as exemplary student who set the standard for the other students. Moore also noted that the Jr. High Principal’s Leadership Council (PLC) will be engaged in the annual Community Service Day. “You will see our students fanning out all over the area to serve in so many ways.We have a group doing some work at the Battlefield Historic Site, the ball fields, the Rook Theatre and the Clothes Closet. Our students are learning how rewarding it is to serve and give back to the community,” explained Moore. In addition, she noted that Cheyenne One Act is performing at the Regional Competition, which is conveniently at the CHS Auditorium this Friday, October 10th at 10 a.m. So, come out and support our students in the One Act play, “I Never Saw Another Butterfly.”
