Rose Anna Bryson was born September 8, 1959 in Farmington, New Mexico to Carl and Margery Higdon. She passed away March 27, 2017 at Cheyenne, Oklahoma at the age of 57 years, 6 months and 19 days.
Rose grew up in Nebraska and Wyoming and was married to Alvis Stroud Bryson at Ogden, Utah on July 7, 1974. After their marriage, they made their home in Red Desert, Wyoming where they raised their family. Rose was a wife and mother and while her children were in school she drove the school bus. After her boys grew up and took wives, she also gained the title of devoted mother-in-law and grandmother. It wasn’t until 2012 that Alvis and Rose moved to Oklahoma to be closer to their children and especially their grandchildren. Besides spending time with her family, she enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking and traveling with Alvis from fishing hole to fishing hole.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
She is survived by her husband, Alvis, Watonga, OK; 2 sons, Adam Bryson and wife, Amanda, Cheyenne, OK and Alvis Bryson and wife, Erica, Colony, OK; 1 daughter, Christie Cosby and husband, John, Odenville, AL; 7 grandchildren, Jordan Cosby, Nikki Cosby, Adam Bryson, Kaydence Bryson, Anna Bryson, Alvis Bryson and Aaron Bryson; her parents, Carl and Margery Higdon; 1 sister, Lily Higdon; 2 brothers, Mike Higdon and Lyle Higdon and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held Friday, March 31, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Cheyenne First Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Dennis Hooper. Arrangements are under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service and condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com
