CHEYENNE, Oklahoma: Bring the family and join a Park Ranger at the local library for free Storytelling & an activity. For the month of September, kids will learn about the variety of hats Rangers wear, plus the meaning and significance of the hats of the 7th Cavalry and the headdresses of the Cheyenne. Participants will learn about the history of the Ranger Flat Hat, as well as see and touch a reproduction of a 7th Cavalry Kepi and a Plains Indian Headdress. They will also make their own hats.
