Since Washita has one employee that dedicates less than 20% of his time to Natural Resource work, it is time to create a baseline for regular maintenance. A crew of about 6 employees from Capulin Volcano National Monument came last week to attack our invasive plants. Using herbicides, mowing, and hand pulling, they scoured the entire park, all 315 acres. In return, the park can now reasonably manage the exotic plant problem with our limited resources.
