We had a record setting early snow on Thursday, October 24th. The record was October 25th. I remember having some freezing temps and rain on Halloween before. We had between 4 and 6 inches of fluffy, beautiful snow. It started with sprinkles and 40 degrees with some sleet. It kept getting colder and then about 10 it really moved in and snowed all day. It was a nice wet snow and every flake fell and stayed where it landed. It was so good to not have the wind. The gauge showed 7 tenths inch of moisture. I’ve heard every prediction from early snow means early spring, and early snow means heavy snow all winter.
